Camp escapades

A collection of status updates regarding Andrew's first excursion to Camp Lutherhaven.

August 10

What happens when you let your 5th grader pack for camp: I called home when stopping st Fred Meyer after a long day of fun and asked if the kids had all the necessities and toiletries. Turned out Andrew had no toothpaste, soap or shampoo and had not chosen to tell us. It also boggled my mind that I was the only person in line NOT buying alcohol, and 1/2 of them were buying BEER IN CANS! Stay classy, Federal Way.

"Either I got eaten alive by mosquitoes at camp or I'm randomly sprouting nipples all over my body."

Andrew : " I saw a killer queen bee at camp!"
Husband :" Was it dynamite with a laser beam?"
" No!"
" Was it guaranteed to blow your mind? "
"NO DAD NOT LIKE THE SONG!!"

And the rest of the story? As I was dragging the last few items out of his luggage I found the soap I bought him...still in the wrapper. His excuse? "The shampoo you bought me is for all body types so I used it on ALL the hair on my body."

I kill the crow with Bob and Mick!!

Bob is my club. He has a secret blade that he uses when fighting crows with me. He is like Stormbringer in the fact that he is a living weapon.[No 0/0 Germs,MTG lovers.] One day,we saw a crow in my yard.

So I says to Bob,"Let's go kill it,Bob." He says "Okay." So we go out and it attacks us! Bob uses his magical blade to kill it's progeny,but it fights on! The crow attacks me next! I pull out Mick and slash it! The crow recoils and attacks Bob and Mick! I daringly attack it to defend Bob and Mick,and Bob attacks it with his blade,killing it.


Then Death of Crows appeared! I dueled with him for the crow's head. We fought and fought. I used a parry,he used a block. Stab,slash,punch poke fire ice and lightning. We fought for three hours,no resting. I used potions and Bob to bash and heal. I stabbed and he sliced. I clubbed and he blocked. I used Bob and Mick to win the day. I crushed Death of Crows. I had won at last!

Science

Plants are split into two groups. Flowering plants and not flowering plants. Non flowering plants are millions of years old. Now the largest ones are under water plants. There are ferns,kelp,and other plants. Non flowering mosses and grasses are an example.

Sherlock Holmes

It was a warm day and Sherlock Holmes and his friend Watson were in their apartment when Holmes read a note from detective Lestrade. He said to go to Croydon. There he met Miss Susan Cushing on Cross street. She had  an odd package. It smelled like  the sea and was boxed by sandpaper. Twas holding two mismatched ears. Lestrade thought that this was a practical joke. Holmes said that it was a murder mystery.


Holmes said that it was from a ship. He found that one Jim Browner was a sailor on bad terms with Sarah Cushing and her husband. He found that the marks on the ears were from a sailors knife. Holmes had Lestrade arrest Jim Browner. Jim Browner was on the S.S. Mayday. He had a knife and almost attacked Lestrade. But the River police were already there. They cuffed Browner and took him away.

Writing

I think that winter and early spring are dark and that is why Wyeth liked to paint them so much. The connections are darkness and neutral colors between the palette and the spring and winter.

My Looks

 I am handsome.

 I wear fine clothes. I have rosy cheeks and chesnut eyes. I have no pimples or dimples. I have dirty blond hair.


I am ruggedly handsome. I can wear what I want. I have no restrictions. I will dye my hair bleach blond. I will spike my hair.

 I am finely handsome. I wear only good clothes. I will not dye my hair. I will brush and comb it instead. I will eat without a stain.

I do look kinda good right now..... But my breath smells bad.

Art

Andrew Wyeth was an influence on young artists, Showing them the path he took,and that they chose their own paths. He showed that even people with weak  systems could become wonderful artists. He was a fine artist who was still strong in the mind even though he was weak in the body. He told people to go whichever way they wanted. He was not forceful,but was kind and calm.
